On our last day in Oslo, we went to do our laundry at Café Laundromat. We met an interesting cast of characters, and after about two hours, we made our way back to the hotel. By this point in our travels, we felt pretty confident in our ability to use public transportation around town for free.
Once we were back in our usual area of Oslo, we visited Black Cat Kaffe-og Tehus. I initially thought it would have cats roaming around, but it turned out to be just a tea and coffee shop. When it opened in 1905, it had a different name, but most locals called it “Black Cat Kaffe” because of a little cat statue in the window. A few years later, they rebranded to the name they have today.
Before dinner, we stopped by the Nobel Peace Center to learn more about the Nobel Prize and why the foundation operates out of Oslo, Norway, even though Alfred Nobel was a Swede. If you’re wondering why I’m posing with Saint Teresa and why Ryan is with Jimmy, it’s because of a personality test we took to show who we most closely align with based on our traits. Barack Obama is in there too, because, why not?
P.S. The first photo in this album is of two ginger shots. We took them each day with our breakfast in Oslo because Ryan was feeling sick. #immunityboost
