It wouldn’t be a vacation for Ryan and I if we didn’t run into some locals. On our first full day of the trip we were lucky to encounter 11 cats and I was THRILLED!
The all gray cat was actually at the restaurant we went to for dinner. The cat colony lives near the golf course on the resort and the gray cat was polite and knew how to appropriately ask for attention. I was the only one to give in and I let her have my leftover chicken scraps. She allowed me to pet her before moving on to clean herself and sun bathe in the last minutes of the day.
Throughout the rest of our time in Maui, Ryan humored me and went to visit the cats each day. At one point, I stopped off at Safeway to pick up some cat treats and I was just as happy as the cats were to get them. It was fun to shake the treat bag and have a heard of cats come out of the darkness to get some treats.
